AviMarkt Europe will be moved to Saturday 19 February 2022.

We are very disappointed after the announcement of the government to extend the measures for events. The government and the municipality will not permit us to hold the bird market. Of course we understand the measures of the government and we will follow them at all times.

After having considered several options, it is unfortunately not possible to continue the bird market 18 September 2021 in an alternative way. We are therefore very sorry that the bird market has to be moved again.

What happens to your reservations and tickets?

All reservations and tickets for 18 September 2021 will of course remain valid for the new date of 19 February 2022.
It would help us a lot if you decide to keep the tickets for the new date.
If you are unable to attend the new date, we will of course understand that.

You will soon receive an email from us on how you can cancel your ticket if necessary.

We want to thank you for your support and hope to see you all again on 19 February 2022.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2022
is the date for the 72nd edition of the bird market!

As many of you already know, the IJsselhallen will soon close its doors. Because of this, we had to look for a new location. This location of course had to meet the minimum requirements to allow the bird market to continue without restrictions.

BRABANTHALLEN ‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH

A location that can guarantee the future of the bird market with an available space of more than 16000 m2, more than 4000 parking spaces and which is easy to reach.

At this new location, it is of course again possible to buy and/or view the many legally permitted birds and related products that are offered for sale.

THE ZWOLSE VOGELMARKT BECOMES AVIMARKT EUROPE

Due to the departure from Zwolle we were also forced to change the name as it was localized.
We have chosen AviMarkt-Europe which refers to the birds (avis in Latin), the market and the international fame of the market and we look forward to welcoming you here on Saturday February 19.

THE LOCATION

Brabanthallen 's-Hertogenbosch
Diezekade 2, 5222 AK 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands
!!! IMPORTANT INFO FOR SELLERS !!!

EDUCATIONAL

During AviMarkt Europe, enthusiasts can wander for hours along the many, legally permitted, birds that are offered for sale.
In addition to the huge collection of tens of thousands of birds, many supplies are also offered for sales, such as books, cages, lighting and food. The various special clubs – such as those of the shape and size canaries, zebra finches, Japanese gulls and parakeets – are also present.

STRICT CONTROL

The delivered birds are strictly controlled. If the birds do not meet the required conditions, they will be refused at the entrance. Also, there are two veterinarians present throughout the day, who keep a close eye on everything. Runners are not allowed at AviMarkt Europe. Birds must be offered for sale in proper cages and the cages must not be overcrowded. This is strictly monitored.

ALL BIRDS AND CAGES IN AVIMARKT-EUROPE MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

  1. There is always freshwater and / or fruit available for the birds. The diet must be adapted to the type of birds.
  2. There is enough food available for the birds. This must be visibly present, preferably in containers.
  3. Health: Sick, damaged or injured birds are not allowed. Dead and sick birds must be removed immediately.
  4. Birds of prey, owls, quail and baby parrots are not allowed. Some birds are only allowed under certain conditions.
  5. European birds and their hybrids must be closed ringed. This ring needs design and diameter, under the nature conservation law.
  6. Guidelines that the cages must comply with:
  • Cages must be clean, complete, equipped with sufficient perches and appropriate for the type of bird kept indoors.
  • Cages must NOT be on the floor!
  • Selling from transport cages is not allowed. Transport cages are only allowed for transport.
  • The height of the cage must be sufficient. The bird must be able to stand/sit on the perch. (As stated in the rules of the NBvV).
  • About two birds per cage, the size of the cage should be adapted to the size of the birds. For show cages there is an exception, then the following conditions apply.
  • Standard show cage; maximum 4 birds, up to the size of a colour canary.
  • Large show cage: up to 4 Neophema or birds of the same size.
  • If you are not using show cages, our quality inspector will determine whether your cages are allowed.
